Description
A Christmas Sampler is an original design by Melinda Cole of Merry Wind Farm. I have chosen to use the name of my great grandmother and a year in which she would have stitched this sampler. I encourage you to use either a name of your ancestor or your own name and current date. The sampler is executed in cross stitch over two threads of linen with the verse being stitched over one thread. The verse is also charted to be stitched in back stitch so that the design can be worked on Aida cloth. Alphabets are provided for you to chart your name preference and also a back stitch alphabet.

The stitch count is 179 w X 139 H and the model has been stitched on 36 count Weeks Dye Works in the color of linen. The design is charted for Gentle Arts overdyed threads. I strongly encourage you to use Gentle Arts threads to get the look that only overdyes can give.
