Mary Anne Stenson 1859

Mary Anne stitched her sampler with wools, using 11 shades of Gentle Arts Simply Wool and 3 shades of Gentle Arts Threads.

The sampler is quite simplistic and naive, with misspelling and backwards letters. The verse is one of my all-time favorites, and I love the collection of flowers, little dogs, birds, rabbits, and even a red lion!

The model has been stitched on 30 count Olde Town Blend from R & R reproductions and includes a DMC conversion.

Stitch count is 213 x 201, and uses cross stitch over two only.
