Garlands Crowns & Cartouches

This sampler brings together a number of garlands (circles of flowers), cartouches (ornate frames in the shape of a scroll or shield) and crowns mostly dating from the early part of the 19th century. These provide lots of designs that can be used as decorative features around dates or initials. I have designed the alphabet and numerals to be very simple so that all the detail is in the garlands, crowns & cartouches.

I‘ve also included a mini-sampler design featuring the letters and numbers you may need to customise the design, for example to change the date or to add your initials. Alternatively this mini-sampler design is great for a quick and portable project, and potentially to use up any left-over floss!
