Description
Designer: Plum Street Samplers
Paulette tells us "This is the next sampler in my Rhode Island sampler-inspired series, and it was a joy to design because I chose to work with a palette that was not the usual Halloween flavor sometimes associated with Salem. No orange was used anywhere in the piece! :) The top of the sampler features a "death head," which is a winged skull used on many old headstones and represents a soul whose journey isn‘t finished yet, a passing on to heaven. The middle section shows Reverend Mather protecting an accusing girl as he points a persecutory finger at two innocent women. Gallows Hill was where the accused were hanged."
