Model information:
Julliette Brunel 1876 is a darling sampler from the South France. I found her in a little Antique Shop not to far from Montpellier. I did a brief history search but have not found anything mainly because my resources are mostly US and England. The center image had quite a bit of water damage with distorted many of the colors. There also was a large infestation that ate much of the woolen stitches.

The original sampler was 14 by 15 inches and stitched with wool on canvas. If she is stitched on 20/40 count Aida/Linen she would be a miniature sampler. She was nine years old when she stitched the sampler “âgée de neuf ans” translates to nine years old.
