Description
Beautiful colors and movement! The colored sections start off as a “puddle”… a stack of glass melted down. The puddle is cut into smaller pieces and fired into “pebbles”. The pebbles are added onto a base glass and fired again so it’s a flat surface. Then cut into individual pieces and back in the kiln for a fire polish. That’s 4 times in the kiln!

Beau Verre needle minders are gorgeous, handmade fused glass with strong magnets. You can use them to keep track of your needles or wear them as pins! Each one is unique and makes an exceptional gift. Because of their originality, we usually have one of each.

Fused glass is the process of layering sheets or pieces of glass, sometimes adding frit (crushed glass), and firing it in a kiln until the glass melts together, sometimes doing multiple firings per item with each firing taking more than 12 hours to complete.
