Description
My fondness for school girl style samplers and the color red were among the many inspirations behind this design. The patriotic motifs, strawberry vines, and baskets of apples remind me of summer! Verses include: “Adorn thyself with grace & truth,” “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory,” and “Clara Thorn worked this sampler in the 11th year of her age.” Stitched on 32 natural, unbleached count linen over both one and two threads of linen.
