From The Blue Flower: This design was inspired by our black cat, who loves to stalk through her garden "kingdom" in the evenings. I tried to capture the feeling of a mysterious, lush garden in opulent colors, surrounded by a deep azure sky. Stitch count is 256 wide x 151 high. The model is stitched on 40 count "Shrinking Violet" linen from www.kittenstitcher.com. This linen has a soft purple/gray tone and subtle nuances. It‘s difficult to photograph, but very lovely. The text is an exerpt from the poem "A Memory" by Frederick L. Knowles.
